We all have hair. Some will embrace their natural hair, others will not. As someone who has always been self-conscious of her hair, I have found a way to embrace my natural hair while giving a gift for free to others. Since 2021, I have donated my hair and sent it in the post to The LIttle Princess Trust. There is nothing more special than the gift of giving.
The Little Princess Trust is UK charity who provide children and young people with real hair wigs who had conditions related to hair loss. This could be from cancer or other conditions such as alopecia. All the wigs privided are free to the receiver. Through generous fundraisers and donations children and young people are able to feel and express themselves again with wigs.
Through hair growers like me, their time and generosity means another smile has shone on an unknown face. Growing hair is long, time consuming but so worth even the thought of your hair being made into something for someone else. With this in mind, it has made me feel confident to embrace my albino hair, to not be ashamed and to feel good about myself.
So, below is the journey of my hair growing and donating. I hope you find it inspiring and maybe even ebcouraging to donate hair yourself. To find out more about The LIttle Orincess Trust, how to get involved, fundraise or donate the link is below.
